Standard Manual Handling Course:

A standard Manual Handling course includes 4 – 6 hours of training and assessment. Contact us to organise dates. (Minimum of three people required) The training consists of face to face in a classroom training with some practical activities outside. Please contact us for dates that will suit you.

Overview:

This unit includes the theoretical and practical components of the unit TLID1001 Shift materials safely using manual handling methods. This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to shift loads safely. Work must be carried out in compliance with the relevant work health and safety (WHS) regulations concerning the manual handling and movement of loads.

It includes assessing the risks associated with relocating the load, planning the relocation process and carrying out the relocation in accordance with the plan.

Anyone who needs a formal qualification in Manual Handling should apply.

Pre-Requisites:

There are no entry requirements for these courses.

Outcomes of Manual Handling Course:

On successful completion of this course, participants will be issued a ‘Statement of Attainment’ certifying competence of the unit.

Course Delivery:

Upon arrangement, training and courses can be conducted on-site at the premises of clients.  Requirements would be a classroom and area where practical activities could be conducted. The course could be contextualised for lifting devices (pallet jack etc) and specific loads students might use in the workplace.  This course is also delivered at the LT Training Nambour facility. PCYC Youth Avenue, Nambour QLD 4560.

RPL:

LT Training does not offer RPL at this point in time.

Full payment for the course must be made at the time of booking.

Further Information on Manual Handling:

All training aids and safety equipment are provided for use as required. Training locations further than 100 km from the Nambour campus will have extra travel costs included.  Maximum student numbers exist depending on the facility.
